Project Description
Kindergarten “Petar Pan” is a public kindergarten in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The institution works at five locations in the town center and kindergarten is attended by 350 children from 1-7 years of age. Kindergarten provide nursery, early years and pre-school programs. Seventy employees take care of children, of which 40 are educators and specialized staff like pedagogue, psychologist, speech and language therapist, medical nurse. Kindergarten is an inclusive early childhood setting that practices integration of children with different kinds of developmental, emotional, behavioral and health problems. The curriculum is based on a holistic approach, combining social constructivism theory and Reggio pedagogy, striving to make a learning environment for children allowing them freedom in activity choice according to their interests, abilities and competences.
