Within the Erasmus + project „Cell Biology and Art Class Omnibus – CACAO“, the University hosted representatives of an international partner consortium in the first week of February. The partners gathered at the initial international project meeting and four-day training activities “Design thinking for curriculum design and cell biology.”
The consortium brings together seven partners from five European countries – Croatia, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Poland on Erasmus + key activities of the collaborative partnership in preschool education. The ultimate goal is to create an innovative and unique inclusive preschool program that combines cell biology, music and dance. A unique curriculum will be created for children aged 5 to 6, and in addition to creating a curriculum for children, a special curriculum for educators will be developed. The project brings together experts in the field of biology, music, educators and experts in the field of learning supported by modern digital technology.
The first day was reserved for the Steering Committee. The ceremony was opened by the Head of the Office for Partnership and Projects, Ph.D. Ivona Peternel. She presented the University of Pula and the efforts aimed at the process of internationalization. The participants were presented with the activities of the University in the field of international cooperation as well as active projects implemented by the Office for Partnerships and Projects.
Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj presented the quality management process within the project, financial management of the project as well as planned activities within the dissemination and exploitation of project results.
The project team of the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula, along with the Office for Partnerships and Projects consists of doc. dr. sc. Marlena Plavšić, Associate Professor dr. sc. Ivana Paula Gortan Carlin, doc. dr. sc. Ines Kovačić and Đeni Zuliani Blašković, senior lecturer .This was followed by the presentation of other partners – Musica, Impulse Center, Petar Pan Kindergarten, Embassy International, fabula movens, Universidad Pompeu Fabra and Il Girotondo.
